Dear Spyder lovers,
I am Freddy from Belgium (Europe) and I am interested in buying a Porsche 550 Spyder replica.
In order to register the car in Belgium (the regulations are very
strict here) the car should be registered in the US as a car older
than 25 years. This means that the chassis that is used for the car should be older than 25 years. So, the official registration date of the car should be older than 25 years.
Who has or knows such a car for sale?
I am looking forward to hearng from you.

Hi Karl and Terry,
If the title mentions Porsche 1955 or 1956 than one will check at the data base of Porsche so that will be a problem because it is not a Porsche.
The car can be registered in Belgium as the title mentions 1) the manufacturer - for instance Beck or Vintage, ...- and 2) that the chassis that is used is older than 25 years (so the chassis number should be mentioned on the official papers because one needs to proof the age). So for instance a Beck or Vintage, ... built during 2003 on a chassis that is older than 25 years can be registered in Belgium.
Best regards,
Freddy
Yep,
I'm in Europe and the regulations are so different between EU countries that I could not sell my car to a man in Belgium even though the Donor car ( VW) was built in Belgium in 1969.

The Belgium Authorities would not let it back into the land it was built!!!!
So my replica 1960 RS60, built in 1996, using a 1969 donor ( VW based Chassis, built in Belgium supplied to France and now in the UK) correctly titled VW GP Spyder... Classed as an Historic Vehicle ( over 25yrs old and UK TAX free)remains mine

The regulations are 'Mad'.

FREDDY you may need to look deeper into import into Belgium OK?

Good Luck

Magwa
