Not Mine. Gordon dumping rain in NW FL so I can't go out and play. So $12k CDN is only $10.6k USD - so not much. Build on 1974 VW T1 chassis.

The proportions are incorrect, but it’s actually not bad looking.
Not to divert the thread, but I hope you’re ok, Greg. Even just a strong tropical storm can cause dangerous flooding.
Not to be overly critical of the samba posting, but........
The listing has seven photos. Two are almost the exact same. One is blocked by another car, one from a high elevation/distance from above, and one about to be crushed by a 4x4. Oh, and one that has so many filters that the people in the photos are featureless.
@Troy Sloan , @Ryan (formerly) in NorCal you should offer a class on properly documenting your vehicles offered for sale.
The one with the 911 is rather comical - a $100+k car with no one around it ---- and a $10k car with everyone around it!
The 718 RSK replica currently being offered by Beverly Hills Motors appears to be much more authentic looking. Has a modified Beck tube frame chassis and a 2110cc Type 1 engine but for $49,949 it isn't cheap.

Maybe the price is negotiable?

pretty sweet
At BHMC no price is negotiable.
$10k vs $50k --- you could buy the Samba one plus a used IM!
But the $10K one looks like an eraser that slips on a #2 pencil. Proportions are WAY wrong.

That's great Wolfgang what attracts the eye. Wonder what powers this beautiful car.
I personally know of a 993 owner who bought a Spyder SPECIFICALLY for the crowd that surrounds mine at PCA meets.
Does anyone actually find the 718 to be an attractive automobile?
Nevermind. I think it would change my opinion of anyone who answers "yes."
That's funny! So 550 and 550a are OK? What about the RS-60 and RS-61?
Then after that we move on to the 904(arguably the last street legal race/road car), then 906, 908, and 910.
You skipped the real beauty! An Elite Enterprises Laser 917. I actually think they look ok when painted in the GULF racing colors.

Ewwwwwww. Get some new glasses.
I just noticed the cockpit bulkhead in the 718 replica. Totally wrong, the last car to have that was a 550. From the 550a on they were all business and steel tubes under the dash. No pretty curves to connect to the dash.
The last car with the 3 gauge binnacle was the 550a.
The rest just had a tach and maybe oil temp and pressure.
718 RSK
550a
I suspect this beautiful restored 1959 center-seat Porsche RSK Spyder would be a pleasure to own and drive. With mounting points designed to simplify moving the steering wheel, seat and pedals from the left side of the car to the center. . . only five were built.

Dumb question, what is the process to get in and out of it?
Well, getting in required removing the hard tonneau cover which had the center windscreen attached to it. Once the driver got in two assistants would then lift the tonneau cover into position and secure it at five points.

I believe a block and tackle were involved.

But that is just to get in. Getting out?
Easy, ejection seat!
