Absolutely!
NICE!!
Oh my....
i can't find a single thing to complain about regarding this car aside from that fact that i won't be on the list to buy one. it's so wonderful and i think they payed homage to it's forefathers in the nicest ways. love the wheels, the kind of cheeky interior leather/fabric combo, the flat 6, the clean lines of the exterior, and that they're producing 1963 of them. so great.
Yeah, I think I could go for one of those.
The Jalopnik link says "tastefully retro". I don't see anything retro about this model. As a matter of personal preference I still like the Porsche design of the '80s SC model line...Oh, and there is the $125,050 price tag for the privilege of owning this anniversary model. Tax, license, registration, insurance...anyone, anyone? ...
Not for me...when it comes to 911's....to my eye, the 993 is the best looking.. however, many of the special edition Porsches do become collectable..
But you'd need to buy it & not drive it much..........AND that would be TOUGH!!!
I guess you'd need to have it be part of your stable of Porsches to only drive it a coupla
thousand miles a year. But you're right it will probably become collectable.
I'd certainly like one, but there are other classic cars I'd buy first for that kinda money!!!
It's a nice looking car, but I think they did the retro homage better with the Sport Classic version with its ducktail spoiler and much more Fuch style wheels, though missing the nice tartan seat inserts: http://www.ultimatecarpage.com...7-Sport-Classic.html
A friend of mine just ordered one of these. Got #963. Better hurry up - they're going fast. I friggin LOVE that car!!
Oh, and he's trading in his 993 for it. I've driven his 993 and it's a lovely car, but a "Retro-911"? I can't wait to see It!
lucky friend!

SWEEEETTTTTTTTTT
does anyone know the name of that off white color they're using? i love it.
Man of Chile Grey?
Porsche called it "Sport Classic Grey." A limited 250 car edition, not for sale in North America and costing around $200K.
