Thanks guys. I had researched coco mats earlier and found out that they were accurate for the period. No logo is better than the Beck logo for recreation purposes :). I contacted coco mats and they responded that they had patterns to fit Becks and offered to send me a paper pattern and color samples to match my car. I forwarded this info on to Carey at Special Edition and he informed me that he created the pattern for them and he is a fan. I'm sold. I'll wait till my car arrives, decide what color I like best (with input from the wife...she's all about colors) and order me some. All of this excellent communication happened in less than a day. Ain't the internet grand!
Tom,
Enjoy the anticipation of getting your car. I was expecting a Spring delivery myself back in 2006, but Carey went off to ramrod the construction of some yahoo from South Carolina's car at Carlisle so I had to wait a few extra weeks. I've resented that Lane Somethingorother for that ever since. You will be impressed with the coco mats. Very heavy, high-quality material.

The only mats that will work in a Beck Speedster are ones designed specifically for a Beck, due to the added leg room and shape of the floor. The stock Beck mats have our crest and the Speedster script embroidered in them. I have one customer who has made his own Porsche logo mat from a stock mat by simply using a Porsche patch he found on ebay. It actually looks very nice and he said the patch cost him around $7 per side. Photo below.
I have sent Beck specific patterns to a few suppliers, including cocomats, so there are aftermarket mats available in everything from coco fiber, to sisal fiber, to berber.

Above looks nice (how tall is it) maybe he had it made using available crests ($10 & 2.5inches) like below although it seems to be a bit more than his patch

Warren, will do. I'm getting it built up as a 1958 with the exhaust passing through the bottom of the rear bumper risers. According, to Carey, no Beck has ever been built this way. I also am adding an underhood fire supression system with the trigger near the engine compartment latch release on the b-pillar. I am stoked! It will look like this in silver minus the belt molding and headlamp covers.

Warren - Right now they're just 2-point belts, but I plan to get a cross-bar fabricated that it bolted to the former mounts for the inertia reels (attached directly to the frame) so that I can add shoulder belts, making them 4-points. They are Crow belts, recommended by several folks on this site. They seem as well made as Simpson and are half the cost.

They are A LOT more comfortable than the standard 3-point belts.
