Man, I was off by alot... Bummer! Well I have filled the holes with epoxy and it looks like i will try it again... Any suggestions before I drill out more holes in my $25000 car? For the front one you need to tweak it a little by bending it first. Thankfully I had mine done by the folks at VS; I bought the emblems myself and mailed them to VS. They pre-drilled the car for me and sort of massaged them for me and mailed them back. When the car got here I used 3M Plastic Trim Adhesive to put them on.
Robby, try tracing the emblem on a piece of thin cardboard (something that will bend to the contour of the front). You should be able to then easily identify where to mark the holes on the cardboard by using your emblem. Use the cardboard piece with holes punched out to mock-up where you want to place it on the front. Use masking tape on your front end, mark the holes on the tape with a pen/pencil, drill, and I think you can handle it from there.... Good luck!
Tear off an 8" piece of blue painters masking tape, affix it flat straight and horizontal to the nose.

Then tear off a second piece of the tape placing the center of that piece of tape against the upper center edge of the first applied piecs and run your finger across the second edge this time allowing it to "ride" with the body radius and do the same to the other side using the first piece of tape as a reference to get the second piece correctly angled and evenly spaced away for the straight first piece.

Lay the flat script against the nose and gently and slowly work the radius along in your finger tips( take your time as to not break iit in two) bend the the script matching the body.

Then pre mark where the pins on the back side of the script touch against the second piece of applied tape...Important - allowing ...for the increased angle into the body.

Then slowly drill ONE hole on the right side setting that pin then marking the second pin location drilling that hole and so on ..(you may find that the premarks are off a bit here)

Rub a piece of tape across the now drilled holes and work a bit of 4 minute JB weld into each hole with an undersized drill bit,

Slowly remove the tape being careful not to "pull away " the JB weld goop with the tape.

Set the script in place and be sure to tape it securly in place so it won;t move as it dries This works well if you take your time.
WOW!!! Thanks for the tips... I used a piece of cardboard first did my mock-up, I used blue painters tape a measured twice lined up with the nose of the speedster got everthing plum and strait and still managed to FU#& up! The radius is the 3D thing that you just don't see... I put all my badges on and they look killer however, I saved the nose badge for last.... I will get it im sure. Thanks you guys if you have any questions about vintage guitars and amps I'm your huckelberry... rotnroby.

Robby; I have a question: I found a natural colored guitar which is very weird; sort of Z shaped; says Gibson on the headstock. The owner (a friend's grandad) bought it from a store that had it for display purposes only in 1962. He's had it all these years in the closet and wants $50.00 for it...is it worth it? (inside joke)....
