This might have been posted before, but if so, I missed it. Anyway, with all the recent media "gab" about the first Porsche, and the first model 356 ...whether or not they really were, well, I found this "first Porsche" to be quite intriguing. It makes for very entertaining and informative 33+ minutes spent during your day.

I had never seen it before so thank you!
That was pretty cool. Rod sure does some nice work. The hood fabrication was amazing.
First time I've ever heard the clicking sound of the non-sync transaxle- very cool.

Technically the roof. Either way it's amazing work all around.
I knew about Von Neumann cutting the roof off a 356 and racing it in the early 50s, because that car ruined everything for the MG guys. (By like '53 the club racers were staging all MG classes because the TDs were so uncompetitive with the Porsches).
I didn't know it was THE CAR Porsche had taken the 1100 class at LeMans in.
What a story.
I just watched the video. Super cool. I admire the fact a guy who is known for his vision and craftsmanship effectively restored such a great vehicle to its former glory.
