Just a friendly reminder, the Porsche Swap meet in Hershey, Pennsylvania is this Saturday.

The calendar is open, hope to make it this year.
Yeah, there's a whole bunch of people (like over a dozen!) heading down from my Boston area 356 club - this is THE swap meet to attend on the East Coast every year.
Weather might be less than sucky, too!
I plan to attend the porsche swap meet at Hershey tomorrow. If anyone from the SOC wants to hook up my cell #is 201-739-4264. I'll be driving a 2004 silver 911 carrera 4s cabriolet with the old blue nj plates 707-ZTB. Hope to see someone from the club.

i attended the Hershey Porsche swap meet today and it was very enjoyable. The weather was perfect -sunny and 65 degrees.
There were hundreds of Porsches-among them about 10 restored original 356s-speedsters,cabriolets and coupes. Our replicas come very close to duplicating the authenticity.
Acme (the VW vendor that comes to Carlisle) had a BR green spider that they had built for a client. It had a 6 cylinder Porsche engine (I think about 2200cc) porsche trans, and irs. It needed a few finishing touches but appeared well done. The owner wants to sell it-asking price $75,000 ! They plan to bring it to Carlisle.
There was a very poorly partially assembled 356 Convertible body only in the flea market''-asking price $150,000!
I bought an all metal heater-defrost blower motor with the tubular stamped ducting from a 914 that I plan to install in my speedster-I understand that the plastic ones melt.
I ran into East Coast Bruce our leader for carlisle.
t was a good day.

A good day indeed, Joel!
Beauiful day for the swap meet. Ran into fellow Speedster owners Chuck Martin, Rob Mairs and Joel Abraham. I was only looking for one thing - the Outlaw script. Chuck said he purchased his there 2 years ago and Rob last year but no luck this year. Now on order from Sierra Nevada but on back order for 4-6 weeks, arrrgh.
Best weather day for the swap meet in at least the last five years. Picked up some original 15 x 4 1/2 rims for my 912, with original hub caps at a good price. Thanks Rob, for the plastic to keep my rear shelf clean when I loaded the rims.
Each year brings fewer and fewer 356's. Too bad they lump the 912's in with all the beautiful 911's for the Concour's. Good to see ECB and Rob. Didn't get to see Heinz Bade this year.
