I don't have same shoe fetish as Terri N. but my zero mile CMC has worn chrome Mangels, 914 Pedrinis, and then finally I found four 2L 914 Fuchs on Craigslist for $120.  They were very dirty and had old cracked tires on them.  Owner said they were in storage for at least 20+ years.  I was shocked to find the required long special lug bolts were $9 each.  Not sure how many hours I have in polishing them (5+ each) and they still aren't done.  I used oven cleaner to remove anodizing.  No rim rash - just a couple nicks to sand out.  Original caps wouldn't clear rear nut or front wheel bearing covers but I got the tall polished aluminum billet caps from ISP and they work great.

Not sure how the Fuchs compare to Empi version.  They are ET40 vs the Empi 35mm. I suspect stronger and lighter weight. The Empis are a good deal --- the OEM 2L wheels go for $200+Speedie intow1 each now!  I may sell mine and go with 5 bolt replica 911 Fuchs - and buy beer with profits!
