After a year of ownership I find I seldom drive my Speedster and am thinking of finding it a new home.

It is a 1994 CMC on a 1969 VW chassis. It is titled and registered as a 1969 VW so emissions and tags should not be an issue in most states.

Wide body, red gel coat, racing decals. Fresh 1600cc engine, new clutch within last year to complete the car, headers w/custom stinger, drum brakes all around, wide Porsche style wheels, new tires 215R65 fronts, 235R65 rear. Standard interior, Speedster seats, tonneau cover fitted, soft top included but not fitted.

Runs fine but seems a bit rich, could use some carb tuning. New wiring throughout but has a few glitches, turn signals, horn, speedo not wired correctly. New Vintage harness is included. Have original manual. Less than 500 miles since completion.

Hate to see her go but she sits unused most weekends and I would rather spend the money on a toy both my wife and I can enjoy.

Asking $10k OBO.

Thanks Alan,
I have always had better luck on ebay than message boards. My Landrover sat on the lists and all sold on the first listing on eBay.

Just thought I would try it here first. The decals simply peel off. While it needs a little tweeking the car runs, drives and with the gel coat does not need to be babied like a garage Queen.

Tony:
I sold my car here, OF course it is a very special car and as they say in the sales biz "there is an ass for every saddle" . My car being an IM roadster had everything the buyer wanted.
The guy who has helped me get this car perfect has the bug now and has asked me to keep a look out.. I wonder what shipping costs to Oregon?
Ralph,
There is a baffle in the Stinger so it sounds no worse (or better ) than one of those fart can mufflers the 20 year old kids run.
When I istalled the headers and pipe my wife asked if it was to make it quieter. I sheepishly said no and she of course said "I knew that". Some little boys never grow up.

I am on a mission now to either use it or sell it. I was going to run it to work each week but car pooling stopped that idea. We added another guy to the pool and I decided to run this a few days a week when it is not my week to drive and put it to thew test. I'm either going to fall in love with it again or hate it. It should not be any more trouble to run than my 1958 LandRover was. Check eBay in 2 weeks for the final answer .

Best,
Tony
