Sometimes meaningless specs become attractive to me, so I though I'd start a thread.  Maybe I'm just not ready to let go of Carlisle 2013 just yet.

Anyway, with the exception of a well documented bout of cerebral flatulence, my car ran flawlessly for 1679.58 miles, using 61.261 gallons of premium (ethanol-free when possible), for an average of 27.4 mpg.

How about the rest of y'all?  For grins I'll compile the average fuel economy and cumulative mileage and fuel usage.

Good idea for a new thread, Lane.  Here's my info. on the Carlisle trip.

Round trip from Hot Springs, Arkansas  with return side trip to D.C. to pick up wife, total trip, 2,493 miles.

Longest leg, Arlington, VA to Nashville, TN 685 miles.  (Pushing to get dinner at the Palm!)

Speed on interstates 75-80 ---mostly 80 on return trip

Fuel used, 94.4 gallons , MPG, 26.4    Stabil marine ethanol formula added for protection.

Best tankfull MPG, 27.6 (Driven by El Guapo, Ignacio!)

Oil consumption, 1 qt Brad Penn 20W-50.

Jake Raby Type IV, 2,143 cc  8.2:1.

Carbs, dual Dellorto 40s blueprinted by Art Thaen.

Exhaust, A-1 Sidewinder.

The engine ran perfectly with highest oil temp of 175 and highest CHT of 275 degrees.

The car was perfectly dry except for a few stray water drops at the left side of the windshield early in the trip.

I think I'll let my Speedster rest for a few days!  Me too.

OK, 1179 miles with a trip average of 35.1 mpg.  This is for a Subaru EJ22 (2.2 L) normally aspirated engine with a matching Subaru M5 manual transmission with OEM gear ratios.  The Red Man uses a Subaru wiring harness from the donor car and is OBD II equipped and emissions compliant.  Oh yes, and it passed the rain test on the way home by virtue of keeping the cabin dry.  I did, however, experience some cutting out during the heaviest rain due to some missing insulation between the inner body and the splash guard.  Easily correctable.  All things considered, a successful run.

Lane--I started my post then had to get the mileage and gas #s which weren't the computer so I just put in a  "." to hold my space until I got the numbers then I edited the period post and made my real post.  I guess a post with just a period did look odd.

Sooo---back to the thread---how about some other's posting their info?

Hmmmm.......How about a "Trailered" post for Son of Mighty Power Stroke??

Just went out and got this from the "Info Center" in the truck, and off of my GPS:

Total distance trailered:  791 miles

Average speed on trip to Carlisle:  70mph (cruise on)  Average fuel MPG:  16.8

Average speed for first third of return trip:  50 mph (wicked thick fog, no cruise)

Average fuel consumption for first third:  18.7

Average speed for second third of return trip: 83mph (cruise on, Dropkick Murphys on the stereo) Average fuel MPG:  12.9 (that's actually higher than I would have expected)

Average speed for final third (heavy traffic- no cruise): 60mph  Average Fuel mpg: 17.8

Total fuel used for the trip:  48.2 gallons at an average MPG of 16.4

6.0L Power Stroke Diesel

5,954 CC displacement

18.0:1 compression ratio

Electro-Hydraulic (300psi) fuel injection

4 valves per cylinder

325 HP @ 3,300 rpm

587lb-ft Torque at 2,000 rpm

Oil Capacity 18 qts

Total Fuel capacity 36 gallons (single tank)

Performance and MPG is all relative............

700 miles, 31.3 average mpg. 2165 cc Jake type1, stock gears, 3.44 final. Motor specs on "Best type1 ever" thread in engines/mechanical. Highway cruising 65 to 75. Lots of 90 to 100 mph blasts, 90 mile "fun" cruise up and down the hills in PA, autocross course, and top up cruise home in the rain, losing a half-hour to an accident in the fog-filled mountains near Hazelton.
