Holy Carp!! Is that how it's done?? When you have more time than money, and can see/work in three dimensions. Could be an amazing ride.
I bow to this man's genius and skillz. Holy freaking cow.
Quite interesting process and build
Can't wait for the final chapter! He can't just leave that 1302 VW engine in there with all that exquisite fabrication work. I'm spellbound in anticipation!
Kinda reminds me of Black Shiela,in So Africa. Same mentality: Go get the welder, the sheet metal, the Bridgeport, the lathe, the hammer, the whatever, and just make it they way it needs to be, no kidding. Gotta admire that level of Madness, or pity it . . .
Holy frijoles!!! While he's at it why doesn't he just fabricate his own 4-cam?
I have gone back to this three times and he makes incredible progress every single day. Yesterday he milled a new steering wheel hub and made his own horn button. Not just a cap, he made the whole horn button by butchering one and remaking the top half. The man is a magician. BTW, there are even more pictures on the Photobucket link. It shows the trunk lid buildup and some of his engine mock-up. Absolutely amazing skills.
