Just trying to get an idea about the number of folks coming over Wednesday evening, April 20.

Plenty of safe parking, Good friends and conversation, right of I-80 about 8 miles east of Vacaville, 20 miles west of Sacramento.

I am buying cheap meat, (Hell, I dont know most of you guys) burgers and dogs, and Bill will bring some good wine, and I know someone will have the beer.

There is a group leaving my place about 0900 and planning a mostly "thru the county" run south. We will spend about 100-150 miles on I-5 but the rest of the trip is small state highways and some real winding roads when we get down south. We will not be going over the grapevine. Again, anyone is welcome to join us and we will be meeting one or two fellow Knott's attendees at the I-5 reststop about 10 miles south of Tracy.

So come on up or down and meet some guys you already know. You are more than welcome even if you can't make Knott's or are not traveling with us.

Send me and email and I will send my address back to you. Please put Knott's BBQ in the subject.

Ralph, that is fine. I have special parking set up for Roadsters! It is around the block near the convenience store. There will be guys watching the cars for free.

Just kidding Ralph, everyone gets the same secure parking privilege, I have a police officer living across the street and another about 6 houses down the block. Now I hope that doesn't discourage anyone.
Awwww, Terry I was hoping you & Troy and all the area owners would make it. When are you guys leaving?... You could come over, eat a dog, get a cheap room, and when you hear "Born To Be Wild" blaring out of Dale's garage radio... well, start your engine.

If you can't make it, we could cook some Dogs on the pavement at Knotts!
I'd love to Jim, but I have to work in the Bay Area that week. I'm leaving in the early afternoon Thursday for a pit stop at JPS.
Dr. Steele will be performing a heart transplant on Penny first thing Friday morning. He promises to have me on the road towards Knott's by early afternoon. Make sure the dinner reservations include me Friday night.
Jim, I have already notified the police that there is a noisy car club comming to Dixon in a week and a half. I told them they would be hanging out at the burger stand over by the High School. Clear on the other side of town. I guess BOTH of them will be over there waiting for the Rowdy Riders from the North
Dale, good deal.. wouldn't want Occifer Frumby and his sidekick getting nervous when we enter town, like the Hells Angels scare in the 60s....

I Yahooed a map to LA from Vancouver, through Scott's and your places. It spat back a straight pink line from YVR to LAX. I think they thought I was flying. I need to work on maps.

Check out my new beach outfit from Wal-Mart's surf shop.
Dale,
Would you have room for two more at your barbie? We have had a change in travel plans and will be leaving a bit earlier Wednesday. Early enough for husband-Steve and buddy-Bruce Williams to make your bar-b-que. I'll stay at the hotel and watch the kids try to drown each other in the pool...

Let me know if this is OK.

I just knew that it was the wrong outfit guys... but Gayla kept saying, hey it looks great and looking at her watch. I kept whining, "but Honey, I think Surfing Wet Suits are supposed to cover my man breasts so that I don't fully profile a female seal in mating season when I thrash around the water outside the inside break." Or is that inside the outer break? (trying to get that lingo down..)

FCC? Ok, I think I could be in trouble here... maybe I should get a Bro to wear?

Scott, it will be like a hyper warp with 5 UFOs southbound on I-5!

Paul, I had an Extreme makeover by Jimmy Houston., I won it at the Bass Pro Shop here in OKC.
Bill,
Steve will probably bring the spyder which will be filthy dirty after I have driven it over the Siskiyous... Saw a really cool accessory yesterday. It's a 12 volt BLANKET!! I am going to get one to donate for the raffle (as well as my original donation). Of course, if my heater doesn't show up the blanket will be slightly used!

Gordon,

Those are a range of mountains that run mainly East and West on the Calfrnia-Oregon Border. The pass going over them is right inside Oregon and is the highest point on the length of I-5 from Canada to Mexico, 4300+ feet in elevation. This time of year it can still be a challenge. Rick and Brenda Davis hit it yesterday afternoon after we had lunch in the Medford area. They were heading down early for Knotts. I think they made it OK, at least there were no news stories in this mornings paper about some little yellow Speedster getting stuck. They have road cams up there so you can get on the ODOT web site and take a gander at what you may be in for, and then just go anyway. LOL.

I will be out of town until next Tuesday evening. If you have any questions about the Pre-Knott's do at my place send an email to me and I will be back online Tuesday night. If you want to leave a phone number and a good time to call, I will also jump on that.

My cell is 707-689-3778, but the cell will not be powered up until Tuesday when I get home.

We have about 18 confirmed, anyone else?
