Bill,
If you want a 12v blanket, I bought it at Shuck's. $25 dollars. It draws 4amps which should be fine on most everyone's electrical system. It is fused in-line so if there is a signicant problem, theoretically it should shut-down. It's fleece, 42 x 58 inches and comes in a little clear plastic zip-shut bag for storage.

If you want one and can't find it locally, let me know and I'll bring one to you. If you see it and don't like it, I'll just return it when I get home.

Let me know.

Angela, we don't have Shuck's down here. If you have time before departure, I will be in your debt for a long time. If not, no problem, when we are at Dale's, I will give you enough dough to cover the purchase and shipping and when you happen to be at that store, perhaps pick one up for me. Thank you very much for the generous offer.

There are a couple of nice spots up the coast where parking and watching the sun go down can be pretty nice. I have an aux plug ready and waiting, an electric blanket will allow me to keep the top down on the colder evenings.
...maybe the wrong place to post this question but Steve/Angela mentioned the amp draw of the blanket and I had an incident earlier this year (no Bruce, no pending deductions) where my stereo, or rather, the volume at which I play me stereo was drawing down more amps than my car was making.

My man Ted fixed it, but what does one look for in the way of a 'look-see' device for those about to embark on auxilary equipment, iPods, blankets, GPS, etc?
Always Shifting & Shivering,
P.
Picture a front lawn full of Henrey's beautify constructed speedsters, roadsters and a street full of speedsters . Got the picture? That was what was happening at Dales. Eighteen brothers of soc coverged on the little town of Dixon, calif. Dale hosted what would almost was Knotts of Northern Calif. I was very much impressed with Bill's,Jim's new creations. Henery is an artist ,craftsman, and His legacy of fine crafted cars can attest to all the fine detail that is put into his cars. As the sun dipped and the grill offerings were being consummed , all thoughts were drifting towards the trip down to Knotts. Thank you Dale for a very enjoyable evening.
I got home last night and WOW, you guys were great! 13-14 cars, 20+ friends and perfect weather. Henry did some minor work on Jim's alternator pulley in my garage, Jim and I had to make a rush parts run to Sacramento's Bugformance to get parts, I had called earlier and they were going to be closed 1/2 hour before we could get there so Parts Master Larry gave me the combo to the back gate and they stashed the parts in the dumpster for us, NO MONEY EXCHANGED HANDS. Thanks Bugformance!

Henry's "tech session" and all the great cars kept everyone in the front yard and garage while I started the BBQ in back where I had meticulously trimmed the grass, the bushes, and scrubbed the patio. No one came for the burgers so I pulled the HOT Webber to the front yard and the food fest started.

It was a great night, thank you all for driving up for the Speedster Social.

A real special thanks to Roxanne (sp?) Robinson, (Dick Robinson's wife) She came in saw the problems I was having with getting the onions, lettuce, tomatoes cut, and other "host issues" and asked if she could help. Hell Yea! I'm no dummy. She took control and turned the disorganization into a BBQ machine! If you ever plan to do something like this, invite Roxanne. Thank you very much.

BTW, that is Dan Palmquist's new IM Roadster on the lawn, congratulations Dan!

Ok,....Speedster Social is a nice name, but I am going on record as voting that next time it it called Drunk Fest or Slurry Speedster Social,....or something like that.

Sorry I missed the fun. Next time I hope. Maybe something before the NCKCC show? Rude Rides Reunion,....now there's a name for the next party!
Bruce etal.
You are all most welcome, I had a blast and the wife was surprised to say the least when the kids told her there was 13 cars and about 20 people at our house. While we were in Maui I told her that Jim, Henry, and perhaps, Scott would be staying at our house and I might have a BBQ and invite a few friends. She was so fine with it, I may do it again!

Clean up was easy, everyone bussed their own tables and since it was in the garage, all I had to do was hose the floor and the walls and Vallah! Clean.

Thanks to everyone that made it a success.
