Precice measurements

Man - I thought putting a pre-made kit together was a task - can't imagine starting with a 100 yards of fiberglass cloth and 55 gallon drum of resin!  Shame you aren't near me (Northwest FL) - I have a friend that has an 18 piece buck (mold) for the CMC wide body.  He was going to produce some parts but the fiberglass materials got expensive (and they have a short shelf life).  I'd try to find a wrecked or incomplete one over starting with a drawing! In US you can find a derelict kit for as low as $2k - can't buy materials for that!

As long as you're at it why not go all the way & hammer the sucker out of aluminium?

Thanks for the response, I did contemplate bashing it out of Ally and I do have a good friend who was a panel beater ...got the hammers and dollys but the thought of making a hardwood buck fist really would be daunting and I doubt the neighbours would be sympathetic listening to all that bashing!

The measurements I am most interested in are the hollows (valleys) between the headlights and wings to the bonnet (hood) I have several 3d renderings but doubt the accuracy of these as they haven't even drawn the dash right.

Maybe your friend with the wide body moulds wants to sell these-though I guess even importing them to the U.K. Would be an expensive venture- I have been down that route with whole cars.

Ya need one of those new 3D printers - a big one!  Plug it in and in a mere 40 hours (pun on CMC build propaganda) you have Speedster.  Have you checked out the UK sites? Maybe you could make a buck for a FG mold from one there.

FYI - i have not confirmed these measurements.  i found an original drawring online and tried to read all the measurements and made them more clear - then lowered it and painted it mango green

I'm the wrong person to ask for precise measurements.  I tend to exaggerate :-)
