Yeah, they were a matched pair... I loved the opening scene where he fished yesterdays coffee out of the trash to brew up a cup.

The voting for right side passenger is closed but I remember Pamela Tiffen was in that movie and she was totally YUMMY.

Sad to say, I think Newman got his real racing accolades in a Datsun product... I think the 'clapped-out heap-look' is another alternative we should openly embrace and encourage on this forum...

A bottle of that Modern Options instant rust faux finish for a lower rocker panel, a seriously dented door (not just that wavy door panel we all seem to have), Hell, a ripped top, most of our cars aren't truly water tight...Oh yeah, I can see it all now!

A side mirror leaning out a little, license plate a tad askew, this is a stroll down memory lane for me, now I remeber, this was my old car! (Forgot the two wires that dangled below the dash to start that rascal)

Pamela Tiffin, George??? Yes, she was a pretty sex-kittenish kind of yummy, but if her personality was anything like her motion picture characters, she must have been a total airhead. Well, come to think of it, for a right seater maybe that's good enough. Properly outfitted, I'm sure that helping her into and out of the car could be a real treat.
Great to see you guys haven't lost your sence of humor. Good to see Paul is back on. I have been busey digging 'clams' for the new ride, and it's lookin' good. looking foreward to joining the group 'realy'. Doug ps I'll donate as soon as I get the bucket full. Thanks Tharon
I remember watching Paul Newman race at Portland Int'l raceway back in the 80's. He had a pretty sweet 300ZX and was a consistent driver. Never saw him wreck the thing, at least.

Ron - I've heard there are a few VW Bugs racing in SCCA these days. Maybe even with HSRA or VARA too.

aloha,
Joel
