I've seen several posts on the early appearance of rust on the Speedster wheels. Obviously a poor chrome job. I wonder which is a better preventitive measure, heavy applications of a good wax or a clear coat spray. Maybe both. I had some cheap trim rings that rusted very early on a Volvo I had some years ago. I cleaned them up the best I could and then sprayed them with clear coat. That was fine for about 6 months but then it started flaking off, leaving kind of a mottled messy looking ring. Of course this was in the winter salt belt
which I'm no longer in. Maybe the clear would last longer in a more favorable climate. Bruce Williams
