I ordered a set of these today (from Taiwan) and we'll see how they look when they arrive in a few weeks, but for the money, they are probably as good any other Chinese repo you would buy from the usual sources. $49.77 plus $22.50 shipping per pair, including the base and gasket.  That puts them at $36.14 each.

Funny how times change.  At one time Japan was noted for producing cheap, poorly built products.  That sure changed.  Taiwan was also know for producing cheap, poorly built products, but a lot of the products coming out of Taiwan these days are well made.  Two examples that I know of are Vintage Speed VW parts and the last three sets of wheels I purchased for my old track Miata.

Troy,
I was involved in the tooling of these mirrors.  They are a good "drivers" mirror. Mirror head has a slightly different shape than original (very minor difference) and they did the white plastic wrong (presses on the edge of the mirror housing, not behind) so we use it as our "economy" mirror and also offer a restoration quality one as well. Our price is a few bucks more, but if you guys like them I can match that price. Several hundred in stock.
Thanks Carey.  That's a great offer.  Is the matching price $50/pair and then domestic shipping? I didn't notice the plastic being pressed on the rim.  How is the chrome?

Troy,

I can't go quite that low, but what I can do for SOC members is $35 ea w/ free domestic shipping, which beats their landed price by $1.14

The chrome is OK.  I've only had them in the "field" for a little over a year but I haven't had any rust issues to date, and they look nice to start with.

The rubber is a bit hard and I am suspect of how long it will hold up, but again no issues to date...
