I'm having problems finding all 4 gears. Put a new clutch in (much needed) but made little improvement. I am often grinding finding the gears(embarrasing). Down shifting to 3rd and 2nd are very difficult and sometimes impossible to find.
I don't expect it to shift like my Audi but it should shift much better than it does now.

Any ideas as to the problem and possible solution?

Alan said it all. Sometimes by loosening its bolts and moving around the shifter you can fix the problem. If the car hasn't been serviced lately it's probably a good idea to install a new shifter rod to the transaxle. Also verify that the clutch cable is adjusted properly as per factory specs.
