ProCar 90 seats fit ?

I'm not happy with my speedster seats and of all the aftermarket seats available, theres only a couple that look like they will
work (fit) has anyone installed procar seats (pro-90) with success ?

I think that they're a little too high, they have adjustable height stantions/bases but I'm not sure.

I have a Procar in the race car and it's match in the cellar. I know that the tracks fit VW's and the width is very nice. I'll measure everything up for you and post the info tomorrow morning.

They are too wide for our car (Beck). I would imagine the same holds true for others, but ???
The outer edges of the seat upper hit the begining of the rear jump seat area before they are leaned & slid back far enough to be comfortable. They are also quite a bit taller and put your head much higher (a problem for those of us 6'+).
We have modified some of the ProCar 90's to fit, but it isn't exactly a DIYer project.
What we have done is: 1) cut & weld the frames to narrow them by 2"
2)cut and narrowed the foam by the same 2", while also thinning out the overall thickness to drop the height.
3) reupholster
we also modified the mounting brackets to sit much lower.

Thanks Team Evil, let me know what you think, I have a CMC with
approx. 18" at the floor opening to approx. 19-1/2" at the top of
the tunnel so it seams the width of the base is the critical dimension.

I have a CMC flaired and changed out the seats for Hunsaker Reclinables. They are tight but do fit. The backs are tall so the touneau cover needs to be modified. The seats are fabric with wear areas covered with a protective fabric. They come with sliders bur no mounts. Mounts are easy to fabricate. Car is in shop so no pictures at present, but I do like the comfort and support the seats offer. (www.hunsakersports.com)

www.pacificcustoms.com sells seats called Lil' Sportster which are 19" wide. Never seen them in person, but they are supposedly "suspension" style. Available in black or grey according to the ad.

Jeff, nice seats, are the shoulder bolsters real close, say 2" ?
These seats seem tall and seat backs look wide, how do they look
peeking out of the interior space?

This is for anybody else that may want an alternative to the speedster seat replica

I am looking at my wife's Miata, the seats look and measure as if they would just fit , then could be recovered in any material that suits you.... has anybody gone this route?

Just checked the Procar seat. It's about 16" at the base, 19" at the widest point of the cushion and 8" from the sliders to the top of the cushion. Hope this helps. If you looking for cool seats that fit almost everything, try to find a pair of later model Fiero seats, nice, comfortable, built in head rest speakers and come in leather if you look hard enough.

TC, fiero seats is an interesting idea! I've owned an 87 fiero convertible and the seats were comfy, hmmm

I've got miata seats from the junk yard, they fit. Just need to get them recovered.
