Angela, thanks for the compliments.
He's every bit the gentleman, too. His mother is raising him very well. I'm pleased as heck.
Have a look at the captions on these pics, especially the last one. The 1:18 collection were his to play with while he was out here, and he went right for the 356s.
We went to the local go-kart track, too, but I haven't put those up yet. I have at least one go-kart pic that's perfect as a visual description of the SOC "SEG."

It'd be really cool if you could get him for the Carlisle weekend next year and bring him along in the Hoopty. What a weekend that'd be! It would pretty much ensure that he becomes a car nut like the rest of us.

Got the go-kart pictures ...

Cory, that's a great looking right seater. Like that song by Crosby, Still, Nash and Young, "Teach Your Children" you've got a good start both on Hoopty and Morgan.

Cory -
Diving into a turn for an inside-pass...that's gotta be the second best feeling in a man's life! Morgan is a STUD!
Seeing that smile on your kid's face - one of life's real treasures - it doesn't get much better than that!
Peace - Out!

Thanks, guys!
Those were the two best weeks of the year for me so far and I had to pass some of the good times on. (I think he thinks I have a camera for a face now, though.)

Cory,
Great pics. Enjoy those times whenever you can.
I will post some photos of my 2-liter six Speedster project in a couple of weeks as I am currently working out of the country (in Argentina). I was supposed to be gone 4 weeks, about 4 months ago. I

Robert, I look forward to seeing the pictures.
Anyone have a lead on a 911E exhaust, or do I need to make one from zero? I'm getting tired of making stuff up as I go.

Cory,
I expect that you are looking for a stock muffler for fit up. Any of the early mufflers should work (

Bob, that's EXACTLY what I was looking for. I want to put the muffler here, between the vertical braces and the firewall, under my battery box:

Cory,
That's where my muffler is going as well. I think the Flowmaster 80 series is a good choice for that location since it has two inlets on opposite ends of the can. It's available with one outlet, or you can get two outlets on opposite ends. The single outlet case is 3 inches shorter. I bought the two outlets for the most flexibility and, per Flowmaster's recommendations for a 2-liter, will either cap one outlet or reduce both outlet diameters from 2 1/2" to 2". Here's a link to their site http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/mufflers.html. You can even hear a sound clip of the various mufflers (probably with a V8, however).
If you go with the Bursch headers, they are available with 1 5/8" or 1 3/4". It is recommended to stay with the smaller tubes for a 2-liter. I just found that Racing Dynamics has stainless headers for $450, but I don't kow anything about them.http://www.racdyn-usa.com.
I plan to wrap the tubes and likely put a light sheet metal shield, maybe insulated as well, above and below the muffler to keep the heat off the fiberglass and the tranny.

That will be interesting to see. I'd love to follow the progress in pictures.
I just stripped the Sloppy Jalopy today for the powdercoater. One more step ...
