Does anyone know of someone that makes the bumpers with the protection tubes? (I think they were put on 356s that were imported to the US?) I can't even find the tubes let alone the bumpers. Dale (if you catch this) are yours original P-bumpers or did Henry make those? If worse comes to worse I could have some made I guess. After my car took that hit yesterday I discovered today that my bumper mount is loose (where the bracket and bumper connect). I got to thinking and I may have someone build steel bumpers out of steel tube bent to match the contour of the fiberglass bumper I have. In essence use my current bumpers as "bumper covers". So, if I can have that done I figured why not go all the way and have protection tubes made for them? Any thoughts? Thanks, Mickey

Mickey, my overider bars are made by Intermeccanica. I do not believe that they are sold seperately and they are costly. I did meet a fabricator at the San Luis Obispo show that was advertising his new bars, although he had only completed front bars. They were also expensive.

I remember reading that many owners removed the bars because they caused more damage than they prevented. As American car bumpers got bigger and higher, the overiders would get bumped and cause the bumpers on speedsters & roadsters to bend and twist bumpers. They also move the "front" of the car out 6-10" from the body.
