Hello...I am in process installing a prowlers type of shifter. Got the nose cone removed and the new shifter backend installed. A gearbox bracket bolted, etc.
NOW...I need to get the rods aligned and secured all the way to the shifter lever inside of the car.
I have been told that this system is an upgrade from the cable type. It feels crisp and precise.
Any one of you has any advise in the proper setup for the rods...alignment or placement. One rod has an S bend to free the swing arm and will be routed under the piston cans.
It must be a way to select the initial settings...set the shifter in first gear? and turn the tube rod all the way to the exhaust pipes....etc. Any ideas? Photos? This set up is common in mid engine sand rails...
Thanks.
