Okay guys, I have to ask this question... I do NOT understand the camo underwear. What is the purpose? You take your pants off and you are trying to disappear into the foliage?

Seems to me once the pants are off, the object is to FIND the girl, isn't it? Maybe BLAZE ORANGE would be better!

Couple of ways to build one. Expensive and Very Expensive. You could pick up a 74 to mid 80's targa, backdate the sheetmetal to longhood, get a 911 speedster windshield (Kaching...) and build it. More if you want 911 speedster side windows, top, etc.

You could begin with a factor 911 speedster and backdate the body. But the factory speedster is reasonably collectable by itself.

You could start out with a longhood targa and do the same thing. But the "real" longhoods are getting pretty expensive and alot of people are queasy about cutting them up.

The factory 911 speedster's (later body style) are cool, but they are just no where near as cool as the early style!

This is a great thread! Vince, per your usual, very nice.
What are the main donor components of the blue car? Looks like an amalgam of everything I like about Chevy cars of the 50s, but without being five feet high at the shoulder or some shade of color only found on a diner stool.
I'd happily drive that thing.
I actually think that 789 has some great ideas. But it needs to be quite a bit longer (which would mean alot more Chassis work to the C5...). I think if you stretched it out about a foot, some in the door, the rest behind the door that those lines would flow fabulously.

Neat wheels on it too.

Speaking of "modified" porsche's. Steve finally got his painted. it is a 1980 european targa, brought to the US in the 80's, modified to be a convertible with a steel slantnose. Oh, and then some hoser drove it into a palm tree. First pic is on the trailer heading to the rented paint booth. 2nd pic is in the booth and painted. Now the reassembly (find the missing part) drudgery begins...
