What do you folks think of this relist? Would you keep or swap the engine? I might go for a swap for the 2110 engine.

Anyone in Florida who could have a look see at the car?  I would pay a proper fee of course.

I'd drive it with engine it has.  You could rebuild it with case clearancing and a larger stroke crank. The 69 mm crank is OEM stock.  A 74 mm would give 2054 cc and 78 cc would give 2165.

Really like interior color combo - and the ultra fat butt.

Although in FL, I'm regretfully a good 10 hours from Ft Worth ---- with Hurricane Matt headed that way it isn't going anywhere.  Call and ask them where they stand on a buy it now price.  You're in MD - you can get an inexpensive flight from BWI to FL and check it after weather clears. If it looks good drive up to Jacksonville area and put it on AMTRAK Autotrain to Lorton, VA - quick drive to MD then.

Car has been listed on eBay and other sites for quite some time,  makes one cautious.

I've been watching this.  A dealer is selling it.  So far it seems like the reserve has not been met.  Around $22,500 is the highest bid I've seen.  I'm betting the dealer wants over $26,000 for it.  If it's still there next month when I get to FLA....?  I may trade mine.

I talked to the seller when it was first up on eBay. I think his buyit now would be $28k.

But i wouldn't be surprised if 26k wouldn't get it done.

I can't move on a deal right away because of health issues. May have to sell my 996 first also. Lovely car. Surprised that someone on this forum has not been to visit the car close up yet.

From a purely aesthetic point of view I love it.

Silver and the burgundy/black interior are personal choices but I love the super wide body style and flares, the rims and tires are beautiful. Banjo steering wheel, shift knob, polished pedals, nerf bars, all very nice imo. And the top looks to be one of the better fitting ones I've seen, don't know why they often look so "crushed" on these cars.

Cons: With the normal sorting we know these cars take, I wouldn't pay 25K for it and doubtful a stealer will take less.

And I agree the black on ebay looks stunning if black is your thing.

The front overriders are not symmetrical.   That would be a deal breaker for me.

I didn't look that close, you are correct.  Interesting that this is noted as being made by Vintage Speedsters in the ad.  If you look at the black one also mentioned above that is on ebay from Portland, OR, it is noted as being from Vintage Speedsters as well.  Look at the nerfs on it.  They are offset exactly the same.  Wad up wit dat?  Move the brackets to the RIGHT side of the mounting frame plates and it should center them about the same?!?!.  Come on man....
