First, get under your car on a lift with the engine running. Find out where your exhaust leak is coming from. You should NOT be getting exhaust fumes in the cockpit from out of the tailpipe, it is leaking under the engine somewhere. A simple tightening of bolts may be all that is needed. Next up is a possible blown gasket, black carbon trails will hopefully indicate it's location. Don't be afraid to use your fingers to "feel" blow-by coming out from any joints. Beyond that, any system can be a good system, depending on your intended use of the vehicle. The old Monza system are typically flow limited to smaller engines, say up to 1835 cc.
