Thanks! I'll keep you posted on the placement of the light and such. I just removed the entire underside of my decklid with a dye grinder to lighten it up a bit and give me the space I needed. I'll be attaching it to the body again with hood pins or Dzus tabs; I'm no longer really concerned with things sticking out of the body.
That cowled Taurus light, though, will be a life-saver. I was originally going to mount a round brake light off the frame inside the back, behind and above the motor plate. That's the thing I can't do because of the shroud's height.
Decklid clearance is okay now, but the line of sight to the frame-mounted light bracket would be blocked almost completely.
