When backing your car up, how high does your rear end lift up(Vince I'm talking about the cars rear end).Does it lift up 1/2",1", 2" or what.
When my wife and I go for a ride the car is sitting perfect. The rear wheel arch is at the top of the rear rim. When I pull back into the garage it's still sitting perfect. But as soon as I back the car up or back out of the garage the back lifts up and looks like I need to add a row of halagen lights on the winshield frame and make it a Baja Speedster. I can go for a ride by myself and it still doesn't get the rear back down all the way.
Could this be an alignment problem? I have a sway-a-way camber compensater and front sway bar.
Maybe I should get one of those blow up dolls and put a hundred pounds of sand in it to ride in the passenger side (he he he).

I know mine lifts up quite a bit but it goes back down immediately after I drive the car forward. Yours should do the same. When you installed the camber compensator did you do it with the back wheels of the car on ramps? If the car was on stands and the back wheels were hanging down when you installed the camber compensator that may explain it.
Ricardo, I had it on ramps when I installed it. As soon as I drive foreward it comes back down also but not all the way. I'm always tinkering around in the garage and if I've backed it up or pushed it back a little bit it looks like a baha bug. I can't stand that look. Stance says everything. I just put the cover over it and hide it so I don't have to look at it when it's butt is in the air.

Eddie; just ride it around the block before storing it. Maybe you could also install adjustable spring plates; unless your car came equipped with them already (I know some VS's come with them). Then it's just a matter of dialing in your ride height with an Allen wrench. Serrano's has them for $85.00 a pair which is a great deal (I've seen them run around $200 for the pair).
My axle tubes are empty right now, and I'm contemplating a camber compensator, so please continue to provide any insights. I'll be buying three inch shorter axles in a week or two. For now, the tubes are as parallel to the floor as I can get them. I hope that helps to eliminate the prospect of the back sticking up in reverse, but I'll be reading any and all advice before we stick the go-parts in.
