I am rehabbing a type 4 engine and was wondering if the CHT used on the 1700 & 1800 engines is a true sensor or just a switch.......It would be "nice" to incorporate it into the German VDO gauges that I'm using......( They have a provision for "heat" , not sure if its for oil or CHT.)

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.....
