I have a Fiberfab/CMC 356 Speedster , now completed, and a great ride! My question is ,"is there a Steering Wheel quick disconnect to fit my 1969 vw based steering column. It currently has, "included with the kit pk.," a knock off wooden steering wheel........a dune buggy application would probably be the easiest . Also looking for A MECHANICAL CONNECTION RATHER THAT A WELDED ONE

This one says it fits a 1969 VW:
Here are a couple options for a 5 hole or a 6 hole.

I was going to get one and decided that a "quick release" would be a quick "steal" release.

Most people who install the quick release hubs for their steering wheels do so, so they can take the wheel whilst the car is parked. They can't drive off what they can't steer. Tow away but not drive away.
Works with the front wheel of a bicycle, too...
Seems like a real commitment to be carrying a steering wheel into the Symphony, the four-star restaurant, the opening night of "Dead Pool."
Or lock it in the trunk.

Lock, that's funny.
Okay, lock may have been the wrong word.
How about secure it in the trunk? I have an alarm and just reaching into the car sets it off. And if someone managed to pull the knob to open it the moment the trunk pops up a small amount the alarm goes off. No one is going to stand around trying to open the trunk while the alarm is going off to retrieve a steering wheel they need to put back on the car to so they can steal it.
Currently, on SAMBA - $45
