My intent was not to start another flame war. I do not own a Vintage, I am rebuilding a Beck. I have ordered a lot of parts from other suppliers and bidded on E-bay for parts. I did not expect my shipment until sometime next week. I was surprised by my delivery. I only wanted to thank Mary. I beleave this forum was set up for comments that serve our group as a whole, both pro and con. When I receave good service I think it should be passed on for the benifit of others who own or are building speedsters. Those of us who like to tinker with our little cars should be able to get the parts we need or want, it is nice to know I can count on people like Mary from Vintage or Cary of Beck,Henry at IM, to get what I need so I can burn up some pavement with my speedster.
...I forgot to put LOL after my post. I meant that it is a slippery slope to seeing more compliments THAN complaints (that's a good thing). I guess it was a poor attempt at humorous sarcasm (as usual), my bad! I forgot which website I was on.

Kirk & Mary are very personnable and generous folks and have always been very responsive to our Speedy needs. It's always encouraging to see others have a positive experience with the vendors that participate on this site.

OK, what other crapulence can I stir up now, hmmmm...

Peace - Out!

Ray (and others):

I visited Kirk and Mary back in the mid 90's when I was building my CMC. Told him what I had and that I had NO ONE to help me build it or give me information and could he please show me around?

The man spent almost TWO HOURS showing me his operation and how they built their Speedsters and so forth. I came away with a wealth of tips on how to complete my kit, AND how to make it look much better in the process. A couple of weeks later I bought a complete set of Speedster gauges from him, and had them inside of a week.

Three years ago, I bought a Stay-Fast Cloth top from them....Ordered it on a Monday, and had it delivered in Rhode Island by Friday.

Class act.......ya can't ask for more than that. Thanks, Vintage!

Gordon
I've had contact and/or spoken with all of them at one point or another. They have all been first class people to work with and have been very helpful with questions and tips. I have an old IM and it doesn't seem to make a difference to any of them (although John has busted my stones saying I should have bought one of his - LOL), they don't hesitate to help and never seem to be too busy for anyone.
Dang, Ray. Allow me to rephrase?
I think it's cool that there are still supportive people out there who realize that the hobbyist/tinkerer is counting on them!
I usually only go to places or people who are recommended by word-of-mouth.
I've added Kirk and Mary to my list of supportive suppliers.
