Could somebody suggest a quieter exhaust system,my Intermeccanica just had a complete restoration , has a 2100cc engine, had a single Bugpack exhaust that was very loud I changed it for a double exhaust and just as loud in stereo!, is there anything on the market or just have to accept the engine size and sound, lot of power but a lot of noise that goes with it. Suggestions welcome.

Explain the double exhaust? Do you have merged header and two mufflers? Who did the work?
Combined header center exhaust into 2 mufflers.
Here's a video of my VS with A-1 Performance Sidewinder with Magnaflow muffler. Been on the car 12 years, throaty sound on acceleration and mellow sound at cruising.
If this is not as loud as your current exhaust, maybe just have your local muffler shop replace the Bugpack mufflers with Magnaflow.
Hope this info is helpful.
JIM - too bad we didnt have weather like that when i was down there! that video makes me grin. Did you use the solid back housing on your gopro? there is hardly any wind sound.
I'm also sporting an A1 sidewinder with a mangaflow (T4 2.1L).
after seeing this - i'm gunna get out my gopro and do a video like Jim did
I bought one of these for my A-1 and it made a nice difference and it is removable.
Astandish, I'm trying to solve the same problem. I'm going from one small, very loud side muffler to two inline mufflers.
I'll post pictures of the install when I get my IM back from my mechanic's shop.

Paul - To optimize the exhaust note on this video, I used some tape to attach a small digital recorder (size of iPod) on my rear bumper just above my single exhaust pipe. I then dubbed (synched) the exhaust sound on my GoPro video.
that sounds really complicated, but a cool idea.
Simple! Whether you use Mac iMovie or Windows Movie Maker, just insert the recorded sound (mp3) as the background music in the video. Some editing will be required to synchronize both. Easy peasy!
I have been looking in to baffles to insert into the tailpipes to lower the sound, does this really work?, or adding baffled tips, I even heard about adding corse steel wool in the tail pipe to baffle the sound.
I think that's an old hot rodder trick for use on straight pipes & that there are better solutions now.
