You have to drill holes and possibly notch to clear the throttle linkage. You can paint them any color you want, which is nice.

As lane said. You would likely want to keep the chrome tops and then just put these over after drilling because you want a tight seal against the air cleaners and the fiberglass alone isn't the ideal sealing surface. These have been sold. I bought them and couldnt install them because I had clearance issues with the fan shroud (I have a puma dog house ) and the actual side of the engine bay. The envemo's are a bit different than the speedsters.
That makes a lot of sense to put these over the chrome tops in order to keep water out as much as possible. I should actually measure the clearance I have for these with my engine space before I buy a pair. . My next project is to finally put the Carrera Deck lid with louvers on my car, so I will check clearances after that's installed. Thanks for the update and glad you got them sold.
