Nice, but it's not a Speedster.
Looks like it could be a 1989 Speedster from that roofline and the rear wheel arch flare. I'm no expert, but if you Google 1989 Porsche Speedster, what comes up in the images sure looks like that. It would be easier to tell with a side view.
Guy only joined here to advertise his car.
Pretty crappy advertisement. My point was, it may well be a Speedster, just not a 356.

Correction. It's not a 356 Speedster.
Don’t think there is a lower mileage 89 speedster in existence .
You would be better off posting it in the classifieds and providing a more thorough description of the car and more pics. Just my opinion, but I've responded to a number of ads about cars, and yours wouldn't be enough to get me to punch a set of computer keys. Low mileage is nice, but not enough.
Good luck, hope you sell it.
Anybody can unscrew the speedo cable, or replace the darn thing. I'm not saying you did those things, but are you the original owner?
It is indeed a rare car, but I never liked the "humpback" look of it. I thought they were topless, like a Spyder, as in no top came with the car? This top came from the factory or is it aftermarket of some sort?
It is indeed a documented 1 owner , no scam , no roll back or replaced speedo.
all original ! even the battery was drained from acid to preserve it as original. car also had several oil changes over the years.
Good luck with your sale, but you're on the wrong site. If the car is as advertised, you're talking $300,000+. You're not going to sell that car here on in a Car Trader throwaway. Barrett-Jackson, Wayne Carrini, Amelia Island, Pebble Beach, and those high dollar environments are where this car will sell, not on a Speedster replica site. When you cast too wide a net, it impedes efficiency.
This looks to be a nice example of a well preserved car. Where is the car located and can it be inspected prior to purchase?
Do you have any other photos to show of the car? Any chance you have the original bill of sale? You can black out the personal information if you like.

It came factory with a top:

Didn't mean to sound snide. My apologies. I meant it might be better to advertise in the Classified section of this site.
I sort of figure you know what you're doing, don't need advice from me.
Apologies.
No worries Bob all good.
That's an amazing find! I always thought it was kind of cool that Porsche had brought that name back. For the guy who has everything a real 356 speedster and this one sitting beside it would be great conversation piece!
Cool car, bro. Since you apparently bought it to save it for 30 years and sell, I hope you break all price records with it and then the new owner drives the livin' piss out of it. Bring a Trailer would love this one.
I'll trade you your 89 speedster for for my 356 speedster replica
I saw one year ago, black, with about the same miles in Ontario, Canada.
Behatzlaha on selling it.
Such a waste to keep this car from doing what it is designed to do--Run the Streets/Track.
