While rumors of an X3 ALB abound, there has so far been no firm documentation of its existence.

I do have an evil twin (my brother's 3 years younger), but that's another story

I have a friend that had a porsche shop, he built a 356& sold it long ago(carrera I think)last time it sold(with very little changes if any) from $830000. to over a million from what I recall.I havent seen it that I recall, but probably have many years ago, but didnt realy notice cars like that.(into big hp fast drag cars) I would sure to see it now....now that I have a plastic one of sorts. he wants to come see my car. but Im not sure he will satisfied with a glass copy.I need to see if he has any good pics of his.& need to go throught some of his left over porsche stuff from a 40 year porsche bizzness. you never know whats right around the corrner....unless you have a looksee.

does that bannaanna shooter keep the peals on or off?hmm if I give one to my wife will the peals come off????might be time to go shoot some pool& get her a shooter!!!!

^^^X2 what Ted said^^^we just got lost on a tangent (damn A.D.D!!!must remember to take medicine! remember to take medicine. rememb....)thanks for the pics. You get to work on some seriously cool cars.

Al #1 of the Aerially Launched Banana program (my apologies; I couldn't help myself...)

PS- I went to check out Ashcreek's first post and the bit where he tells what car it is seems to have disappeared (only one left of 3 originally built?). I was going to google it to have a look... Ashcreek?

And that GS Carrera is pretty sweet...anybody know what those are worth these days?

Well .thanks alot. Some of you have managed to insult me and doubt my word .

The reason I mentioned the cars I have in my shop is some of you, like myself,

have interests besides plastic replicars.I'm going to send one more pic. This time

I will be holding a sign with that date on it.Behind me will be the cars. The maserati

is finished and being prepped for LeMans.I still have old nose here,I had to copy

the paint scheme off of it.Thanks to some you for your friendly responses.

just  to be out there. I love your cars.wish you lived next door to me.Ive built everything from 2500+ hp boats to 800+ hp street cars ,and now on to these little cars. and everything inbetween, jetskis, dirtbikes, mud trucks, dirt cars, oval cars, roadcorse cars(4&8 cyl).way to many to list, you have some fine cars there. and now at the end of my workable life span I cant finish 1 of my own cars that I have been building off & on for 20+ years, 90%new, including the car.so it has to go so I can hopefuly finish this 356 plasticar for my daily driver.

You know, I don't think anyone "doubted your word" (I certainly didn't). As I said earlier, you've got some pretty cool stuff in your shop. Please explain; how is (note the quote is from one of my earlier responses) "thanks for the pics. You get to work on some seriously cool cars" and Ted's earlier "I did not mean for my comment to be taken as anything other than a silly joke. No offense was intended." insulting? I (and others) found your pics interesting.

I've already apologized for going off topic; that happens on any forum and does not belittle your contribution. Al

And what model Maserati is it, so I can google it? I really do want to know more about it. Thanks in advance.

Ive raced for many years, and now crew on a promod car(If the part owner gets better he had a stroke 2 months ago, better but still not all there, and may never be) Ive seen my share of mangled cars, before, during&after.still makes me sick to my stomach. these cars and oh so many other true racecars are works of art and kinda like taking a mickel angelo&shouving it through a piacasso & sticking it on a stop sigin.and yes I know I didnt spell them corectly, if they mind they can contact me any time they wish. and yes that will buff out, but after some very good planing&work.

I almost beat our driver shitless one time when he went into the sand traps for no reason other than we were #1 qualifire and it was a long track and a good run, so he just relaxed and went for a nice saturday stroll on the top end of bristol dragway.I dont recall if the chutes were out or not, they were not realy needed at track that long@206+mph ....unless you were daydreaming. I sure am gladd carbon fiber is as strong as it is, just straightened the struts for the frontend&all was good,(struts/ supports/braces/mounts for the carbonfiber nose/fenders, not suspension). Drivers cant race with out them......wtf it was still fun.

The other thread disappeared so I'll add a similar comment here.  I've never seen a coupe birdcage Maserati.  But there is an open bodied birdcage that appears in the Monterey Historics races, that I've seen a few times.

BTW yesterday I was at Sonoma Raceway (Sears Point) for the Historic Motorsports Festival car races, which run again today. Some nice cars out there, a Porsche '59 718-RSK, '54 Ferrari 500 Mondial, a couple Porsche -Abarth Cararras, several Speedster Porsches and a Cararra Coupe.  This event featured Corvettes and they were out in full force, maybe 50 vette race cars including a very nice '57 Sebring vette with the fin behind the driver like a D Jag.  Beautiful 427 SC Cobra that shook the earth when it started up, among numerous others.  No birdcage Maserati though!

I did the Marin Sonoma Concours Tour in my '64 Chapron bodied Citroen Cabriolet, a three hour morning drive on the back roads of Marin & Sonoma counties with about 100 classic cars, and the highlight was we finished the tour with 5 parade laps of Sears Point.  I was chasing a couple of Ferraris with another one behind me & hearing them up close & driving was pretty cool.  Then a gourmet lunch up in the VIP boxes, a first for me.....air conditioned & relatively quiet.  It was a nice day for classic cars here in the Bay Area.  The Concours is today at the Marin County Civic Center Fairgrounds ( a Frank Lloyd Wright building) and the historic car races continue today at Sears Point.  Not as crowded as going to the Monterey Historics, worth an outing if you are in the Bay Area!
