imageHere is another rare offer.

When I first produced the 100-Limited Edition, SOC grille badges about 2 years ago, I had the manufacturer provide me with an additional 24 undecorated (sans the red, black and gold) versions with the intention that I would personally, over the years, hand-decorate these in some other custom color scheme, perhaps on an individual basis, one-offs so to speak.

Well, time changes things and circumstances also change as we all know. My eye sight is not getting any better which would make this concept fairly difficult for me. Hell, I don't even own a Speedster anymore, other than my Japanese-fixed-top coupe!

So, instead of these things wasting away in a box tucked away in my basement, I have decided to offer these up on a first come, first served basis. Over the past couple of years, some of the newcomers have expressed interest in the original badges, but there are simply no more available. Or maybe one of you just missed the boat back then. Here's your chance to get the next best thing.

I have been reluctant to tell anyone of these because I had hoped to offer them up as something even more unique. This offer will give you the chance to create your very own custom-decorated version, or simply use them as is in the brass-plated finish or however you'd like to present them on your car or wall.

As noted above, I had 24 produced and I have retained one that I was experimenting with...obviously, this leaves only 23 of this rather rare form of the SOC badge.

The price for these last 23 badges are $45 each plus $7.50 shipping within the USA. International shipping will be extra. First come, first served.

MARTY,

NO, the order is for a non-decorated, brass-finished version of the badge.

Consider it a "naked" version of what was originally offered, no colors.

What I tried to convey was that the original intent was for me to do that, to do a custom painted version, but I have come to the conclusion that my eye sight is not good enough to accomplish such a request. I'm suggesting that you, or someone, buy one and have it decorated on your own. Either take on the task of finding the proper paint/enamel/etc. and do it yourself or find someone on your own to finish it. Cosider a crafty type person you might find at an art sale or possibly a jeweler.

I HAVE DECIDED THAT I WILL NOT BE CAPABLE OF PROVIDING CUSTOM ONE-OFFS.

So...

Would anyone like to trade one of these nekkid badges for my very colorful version?

The original is quite beautiful but it seriously clashes with Penny's unusual copper hue.

Richie, if you want to trade, hold onto one of those and I'll send mine along with a couple of my west coast tees.

Terry, if I can still get one of the last ones, I'd definitely make that trade.
