Has anyone ever installed a set of  "Raydyot" style aluminum side mounted mirrors on their Speedster?

If so, did you encounter any problems during the installation or thereafter?

They are not terrible expensive compared to the original versions and have a great look.

They are nice mirrors.  Be aware that it is difficult to adjust them once they are installed, and to install them (or adjust them fully), you need to remove the door panels (depending on where they are installed).  If you are having them as part of your build, it is easier if they are adjusted for you before the door panels go on.

Once installed, the entire mirror can be swivelled horizontally to adjust side to side vision, but not vertically, without loosening the holding nut inside the door.  But, they look great on a Speedster.

I had mine painted body colour, except for the rim (which was powder coated to match the rest of the trim, but can just be left silver).

Had Talbots on the Healey 3000. Liked them so much I put a set on the 240Z.

Personal taste preferences in ice cream flavors and mirrors on my toys are so 'ingrained' that I bought a pair of Talbot knockoffs for the speedster that are indistinguishable from the far more expensive originals....Being cheap is another of my 'ingrained' traits!

Ha, found this write up on Talbot mirrors.

"The Talbot® Berlin Series mirrors are made from hand spun brass. The brass casings are then polished and chrome plated for a traditional look. The result is a mirror that is concours quality.
