...to the Lyon Air Museum in Orange County!

The Museum's March & April calendar was filling up so I took pro-active action and reserved the only remaining Saturday morning available in March for our SoCal SOC group. Hopefully this will be enough lead time for you knuckleheads to make arrangements to attend.

The new date for this cruise is Saturday, March 5, 2011. The museum would like us on site by 10:00AM for the docent assigned to our group to start our tour. Location of 09:30AM Saturday rendezvous will be announced later.

After our morning visit at Lyon Air Museum we would cruise around the corner to True Speed's showroom (Porsche collection). BTW - they have a couple of Speedsters from Vintage in the showroom. After touring True Speed we'll walk next door and check out the Crevier Classic Car Showroom.

To follow would be a cruise on Pacific Coast Highway to a ytbd location for lunch.

Give a shout out as to who will be joining me on this Cruise!!

Ken - it seems that the timing for this weekend is a little 'off' for most of our SoCal group, so there really isn't a group thing happening this weekend. However, the weekend weather forecast calls for clear sunny skies with temps in the mid-to-high 70's. That usually means a big turn-out for local car events.

Case in point would be Cars & Coffee in Irvine. Not too far of a drive from your location in Placentia. Here is a link to a website that has directions and photo galleries of this weekly gathering...

...and here's a website with better photo galleries of the same event...

Not sure if I'm going to Cars & Coffee in the morning, but definitely going to this event at European Collectibles (Costa Mesa) in the late afternoon...

Also, the All Porsche Swap Meet sponsored by the 356 Registry will be on Sunday at the Phoenix Club (Anaheim - Ball Road exit off 57 fwy). This is a really cool gathering of all things Porsche. There are other P-car open houses listed as well.

Give me a holler if you're interested in either of these events.

P.S. - we're planning a shakedown cruise with Vince 'El Diablo' when he gets his new ultr-wide Speedster. That should be in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned to this channel...

Peace - Out!
