Awhile back someone was talking about using a 356 (or even a 911) chassis for a kit Speedster.  Since they are unibody it is very difficult.  Here is a 356 chassis ready to go - just buy that body in Illinois and get out the liquid nails! Hope he didn't chop the Devin body up.

In Connecticut a 'gift' is looked upon as being suspicious to the point of being disallowed unless it's between relatives.

As to the 'value' of the car, DMV refers to Blue Book Values. With a 356 Chassis it's a 356 Porsche no matter what's bolted on as a body...So you're liable for sales tax on that book value regardless of what's on the bill of sale from the PO.

Then you're smacked with the towns assessed personal property annual tax based on DMV registration information...They're also Blue Bookers!

Oh,... and then the insurance agent has an unpleasant surprise for you too when computing comprehensive and uninsured motorist coverage for a 356 Porsche!

I can't even remember the last time I saw a Connecticut registered 356 on the road.
