Hi Stan,

I'm using the heat exchangers with insulated ducting to heat the interior also I'm running two electric heaters under the dash for even more heat when needed. I wouldn't call the electric heaters as an excellent heat source but they do recycle the interior air and give you a nice warm lap. I would say my car is pretty comfortable down to fourty/ fourty fivedeg.

I've got two "back seat heat" heaters from ebay a while back. If you get them in summer/fall time then you'll get a good price on them (20 a piece), but winter is another story. I've got them sitting up under the dash (can't see them at all) and hooked up to a relay to power them when the ignition is on. The heat is OK and it mostly warms your lap but every little bit counts. The best thing about them is they recycle the air inside to get tthe temps. up. Don't get me wrong, their not the answer to heat like a watercooled car but it is a simple inexpensive fix that works perfect for a CA winter, yes it can get down to 40 something out here.

The big thing with these cars is to keep out drafts. I've added butten snaps to the side curtains to keep the top nice and snug. This seems to help keep the top from fluttering even at ninety mph. Yes it's a little bit of a pain to pay for a toll every now and then as the top is attached to the door by the snaps but I can thank god it's not N.J. (lot's of tolls out there).
