I like the guy's straightforward approach. Kind of an "I don't really care what you do with it; it's in a good state of preservation," thing he's got going on there.
Vince, do the Nerf bars add or detract -- or do you think he maybe has the bumpers somewhere else? And for such a (I guess reasonable) price, would you garage it or drive it?
Did anyone else here ever put their hand on the fender of a car that wasn't working right and ask the car (out loud or not), "What's wrong?"
I bet you'd be able to feel an answer on that Speedster if it was hurting. Maybe that's the biggest difference between an old car and a replica. It just doesn't "feel" the same.

(Waxing philosophical this morning. I'll shut up and go get some coffee. ...)
Yep- just about the price of an Intermeccanica.... with a 6 cyl Porsche 911 drive-line, suspension, and all the goodies. A more plebeian (but still nice) IM would be a little more than half that.

But why would anybody want EITHER, when they could have a rusted, incomplete, possibly non-running original that'll only need another $40K (or so) to be right.

That being said-- it is a screamin' deal for an original. As he says in the copy, it's worth at least $75K in the condition it's in. Perhaps the thing to do would be to buy the car, sell it for what it's worth, and buy a nice used Vintage for the difference.
