Yes, they have gone up dramatically over the past year. It may have something to do with the 5-6 of them that got crushed when a truck carrying them got hit by a train out in CA (coming back from I think Monterey Car show.)

Here's the thing about the real cars...they are not "vehicles" as such anymore, they are more like an investment...like a nice painting or fine silver (neither of which I own, mind you). A local guy here purchased a beautiful '58 for $75K a couple years ago, and was offered "in passing" at the East Coast 356 Holiday over $100k for it.

I know of a few real Speedster owners that are considering a replica so they have something to actually drive. ... and modify to their personal taste without the fear of lost value.
