I think that is a Berrien chassis with a Mendeola suspension.
@RobertCalifornia The owner of CoolRydes Custom (Mendeola Suspensions) in San Diego, is Kevin Zagar @coolryde, who is also a fellow SOCer! Cool dude. 
@Jon T That car Cool Rides worked on belongs to @goofer fellow SOCer Larry Bull from Escondido, CA.
Here's a pic of him (passenger) and son-in-law (driving) his car at one of our West Coast Cruises in San Luis Obispo.
I think it would be uber cool if that clown head squirted seltzer water!

I confirmed that this is not a Berrien chassis, they don't make one for the Speedster (though they make one very, very similar to the one in the picture but its for dune buggies and too long).
I emailed Cool Rydes about 5 days ago to confirm that its their chassis and I have yet to hear from them.

My info is from this morning from John M at Acme (keeping his full name off the site for privacy). I emailed them last night and his reply was "Sorry but we do not have a frame that works on a Speedster."
His reply makes sense, anything on the Berrien site is (1) too short at 80" and (2) the front end is intended for buggies, not Speedsters (you'll note the front arms are wrong and they advertise eight bolt attachment points).
Maybe @Former Member did this as a custom job from Berrien?

Thank you. About how long ago did you have this done? Are you happy with the chassis? I might follow this same path since I think your current setup looks amazing.
@RobertCalifornia The chassis was bought in 2007 the front and back suspension were added sometime after I believe. I purchased the chassis late last year I have a body coming for it in a week or two we are going to do some modifications to the chassis then,I think I may have to lengthen it a little but have to wait to see.

Good to know, thank you. I'm going to assume it's just an item they no longer offer (2007 was a while ago!).
I believe they still offer that chassis but you will have to modify it to fit just like a pan base after you decide what suspension you might use and what body you might choose.
@RobertCalifornia, did you ever call Dave Barrett, like I suggested in the other thread? Seems to me this guy is a lot closer to you. He will build the chassis to whatever length you need.
If I were building a speedster/coupe, I’d give a lot of consideration to the chassis built by Kitman. Looks well though out, craftsmanship looks excellent, and it was designed to bolt right up to their bodies.
While the Mendeola suspension looks like a nice upgrade, you must ask yourself if you will really use the increased performance that it will provide vs the $7-8K price.

Yes, I have been in contact with Dave and he provides an interesting product and the price is right. I'm a little concerned about the materials used because it seems like he uses some of the smaller dimension steel than other providers. But I would say he is still in the running.
The challenge with Kitman is that I can't find many people to say good things about their tube chassis. Plus the pictures they post are a bit on the generic/older side (pretty sure I have seen them around the web for a while). So I wouldn't call them eliminated but for the price they want - by far the most expensive option out there - I'd expect clearer/recent pictures from them.
As for Mendeola, I do intend to put a decent engine in this car, if not a Type 4. I also enjoy long road trips so I think Mendeola provides better opportunity for that than most other setups I've seen. My intent is to go with their suspension and brake package. However, I have yet to hear from them from my inquiry last week and that is not encouraging.

Robert California if you get to the San Diego area you can drive my car to see what you think about the Mendiola set up. I have really enjoyed the car the ride is much better than the VW setup.
