Do you guys have this lockable compartment in your speedsters?
It takes a small suitcase or overnight bag etc.

The compartment extends into the curve of the rear cockpit and is deceptively spacious.

I'm going to improve the upholstery to make it well hidden (and also conceal the keyhole on the access panel)

It will make quite a nice little hidey hole when it's finished - to keep stuff away from prying eyes..

Hi Guys,

This is a locally produced kit here in South Africa
The company was called KCC Kit Car Centre - They now trade under the name KCCVenom Cars.
They modified the mould to include the rear compartment.
The mould came from the States ( I think ) as they have been around for some time.

Jim, I guess the mudguards (fenders over there)threw you a bit !
You were right, they are in fact from the Lotus 7 - also built locally here. These are going to be used on a friend's pipe car to make it street legal ( I think you call it a sand rail in the US )

If you look under the "makers" section on this forum , you will see KCC listed there
To date they've built about 700 cars - I've seen a few on the roads here but they are still relatively rare.
In fact, my speedster attracts more attention than the local boxsters!

Later,
Mitch
