Well I finnally have my pan all together. But while giving it the last once over before putting the pan back on I set the emergency brake. With the brake on I noticed the calipers moved slightly when I rolled foward and back. After takining it apart (both sides) it is apparent that the barackets are not quite thick enough for the bearing retainers to clamp down. Not sure how I missed this on assembly, but it is real close.

Anyone else run into this problem?

Thanks,
Ben

Found the problem. Apparenty, VW made two different bearing caps. One has a deeper bearing depth. It takes the deeper one if you have a swing with short tubes. The part number cat into the parts ends in 311A for the shollow one and 311 for the deeper one.

Something to keep in mind if you are putting rear discs on....
