On my WB CMC I have 8 inch rims with 225:60:15s.  The front sits nice measured from ground to body 8 inches but rear is 10 inches from ground.  My paint guy thinks it looks great.  Yah, cause he is a Ford guy and my speedster looks like it has a SHelby drop.  I had that on my  Pony but not so cool IMO on the speedster.  If I drop the car 2 inches in back, tire will rub on lip of fender.  I could grind off lip of fender but in moderate cornering would the wheels not have the inclination to rub?  Or in dropping it would I create negative camber---that is the tires are closer on top from each other and bottoms are wider.  It has an IRS.  I actually am looking for that -cambered look and if that can't be accomplished with a simple drop is there another way to accomplish this?  THanks in advance.  I wil post pics tomorrow.

There won't be much "negative camber" on your car if you lower a true, pan, IRS rear.  The spring plates and diagonal arms are set such that the wheels really do go straight up and down, maybe varying 1/2 degree or less.  They designed it that way on purpose.  If you really want that big negative camber you see on a lowered swing-arm car for your IRS, it ain't gonna happen.

If you just want to lower the rear, it's done by adjusting at the torsion bars and there is an article for that on this site under "knowledge".  You can drop it in 1/4" increments with combinations of inner and outer splines on the bars.

When you get to adjusting - consider the adjustable spring plates. They allow fine tuning of height without pulling the torsion bars.

Make sure you determine the length of your torsion bars when ordering.
Torsion bars came in three lengths for Air Cooled Beetles
Short  – 21 3/4 inches The torsion cap does not have a hole in it.
Medium – 24 11/16 inches
Long – 26 9/16 inches The torsion tube sticks out 6 inches from the spring plate.
