I recently had someone covert the rear brakes to disc on my 2002 VS (68 chassis) with a kit from Kustom 1 Warehouse. When I hit any sizable bump, the left-rear knocks. When I inspected underneath it looks like the engine compartment hits the top of the caliper (the parking brake spring is on top of the caliper). I already removed the parking brake return spring from on top of the caliper, now I'm hitting the top of the caliper itself. Changed the shocks to a higher-end Bilsten. Still hitting the bottom of the engine compartment. Short of grinding a couple of inches off the corner of the engine compartment, I can't think of anything else.

Anyone have any ideas or a similar experience?

You could also reindex the rear suspension and give it a little of the cal-look.

John, now that's the first time I've heard of trimming a couple of inches off. I have a low car and keep busting the stock ones. Will that help with how often I break them? (Yes I do like to rally the car on some hilly lake roads. Cell phones, stop watches and other enthusiasts on limited access roads are a giggle.)
