Rear Lid Vintage vs CMC

I would hope that it wouldn't because your car is too beautiful to add that to it. In my opinion, a whaletail on one of these cars just doesn't look right.

I REALLY like the looks of your car as it sits and the color is sweet!

I'm sure DRCLOCK (Alan Merklin) would know.

Caution:  CMC deck lid is a bit different than a VS and is not interchangable and would be a difficult project to make it fit correctly.  Alan

Thanks for all the replys, advise, compliments etc.  I do appreciate it - I find myself often thinking about doing silly things with this car and it helps to have someone ground you.

And I'll just bet our good Doktor learned that lesson the hard way, too!

It's a little bit amazing, though, that from even a short distance and looking at a CMC/VS/Beck side-by-side at Carlisle or elsewhere, you never notice that engine lids (or much else, for that matter) are all that different.  

Until you try to intermix body parts, that is.
