Rear reflector question...

Ok... go the beehive tail lights mounted... but now am having a little problem with the rear reflectors & how they mount. It seems like they should be a piece of cake... but it doesn't seem like it's possible to bolt them in place, & have them pointing straight backwards.
Who has the magic secret? hehe
Here are a few photos of the different ways I've tried. Seems like no matter how I twist them, they wont work. Anybody have a nice close-up photo of theirs? I'm sure I can figure it out after looking at a photo... or at least I hope so. hehe

Bought the beehives from Stoddart. I also bought a set of the bright red (instead of tinted black) lenses off ebay. I'm on the hunt, and was told to check with NLA for a pair of orange lenses. I haven't had a chance to call them yet, but will give it a try soon. Here's a few photos I've collected of the beehives combined with the reflectors.
