Jane....what's behind you ....is not important
...only if it's quickly gaining on you and has flashing red lights.
don't look at the lights , they will make you crazy.
Jane:
I made mine from a motorcycle mirror and fab'd up a mount for the mirror and the windshield center strut. That's probably the hard way, but I'm sure that Carey Hines at Special Edition might have one for you.
frankly I would go without it if it weren't for the pesky pa insp rules! details details
Gordon, you got me thinking I should probably make something , thanks
Jane, I am heading to Special Editions tomorrow and if I like their new fancy-schmancy mirror they are offering now, I may buy one and then I will have one of their lesser, fancy-schmancy mirrors to offer up. Troy, I have offered it to Jane first if I do.
Carey offers a new and improved mirror for $45 I believe.
They both have this magical rearward view as far as I know.

Bwaaaaaa haaaaaaa…that was a good one!
@Jane - you should have the following scribed into the mirror glass…"Objects in mirror are LOSING!"
Is the new and improved, optics or size? I'm looking for a larger one than my 5.75 x 2.25 from VS.
I'd say something like "oh come on, it's just a mirror", but the standard mirror is such a piece of garbage that one that holds its setting would be pretty much worth any price.
Here's what I did for my mirror;
I got a billet hot rod mirror from Speedwaymotors.com from their garage sale section because it was missing the stick-on windshield mount, about $16, then I made an aluminum block 3/4 x 1/2 x 1 1/2 long, sanded an angle on the bottom, drilled and tapped a 10-32 hole for the stud from the mirror. Next I drilled a 1/4 hole at the top and sawed it off to make a clamp. Than I drilled two 8-32 holes in the end for clamp screws to clamp it to the windshield rod. It doesn't look stock but neither does the rest of my car. Mirror is about 1 1/2 x 4 and solid as a rock.
Very nice looking, Chris.
