I am a new owner and noticed the inner of both rear wheels with heavy wear. Can the rear wheels be aligned?
Also would like to replace shocks, the look like standard shocks. Could the shocks affect the alignment & should they be replaced & what shock provides a smooth ride?

Can see car in my photos, have large rims with skinny tires from previous owner, not much into speed & handling, would prefer a great smooth comfortable ride.

Peace;

Lucky

Ralph.....Assuming the car is a CMC, the situation is not unusual.....What size tires are on the car now? I am fighting the same problem, and the fix appears to be skinnier tires.....

As for the shocks, KYB GR-20s are the ones most used if you are looking for a gas shock and don't need the stiffness of a track car....I've installed them on three cars now with no complaints....
What diameter tires are you using and rear type (swing or IRS? It appears rear has been lowered too much. Somewhere I have a article on removing the rear IRS control arms and swapping them from side to side - the shock perch has to be cut off and flipped to top and rewelded. This puts wheel mounting point higher and corrects that tire angle.

Many prefer cheap oil shocks for a smoother ride.
